Rules

The competition is open to classical music performers of all nationalities who, on December 31, 2025, have:
- Between 18 and 30 years old, Instrumental category
- Between 18 and 32 years old, Lyrical Soloists category

The contest includes two categories:
- Instrumental: Soloists, with or without piano, and chamber accompaniment, up to a maximum of five members (in which case, every individual member has to meet the conditions in section 1 of these rules).
- Soloist: Lyrical Soloists. The competition organisers provide piano accompaniment for the Lyrical Soloists category.

The contest consists of three phases:
- Selection Phase
At Centre Cívic Josep M. Trias i Peitx (cant) (lyrical category) and at Centre d’Estudis Musicals A Tempo (instrumental category). Those registered will take part in an audition, on the morning of November 17 (instrumental category) and November 18 (lyrical category), as long as the number of participants makes it possible. The repertoire interpreted will be chosen freely among the titles provided on the registration form, never exceeding 10 minutes and 2 music pieces. The objective is to choose 16 candidates (8 from each category) , who will move on to the concert phase. - Concert Phase
At Centre Cívic Can Deu
Each selected candidate will give a performance, no longer than 15 m inutes, on the afternoon (from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) of November 19 (instrumental category), and November 20 (lyrical category). The aim of this phase is to choose 8 candidates (4 from each category), who will move on to the final phase. - Final phase
At Axa Auditorium.
Finalists will have a 10 minutes audition, on Sunday, November 23 of 2025, on the afternoon, according to the jury’s select ion, based on the pieces included on the registration form. The jury’s verdict and the awards ceremony will take place on the same day

Each candidate or group will present a free program of 45 minutes, which will have to be indicated in the registration form. In the singing category, to qualify far the Victoria de los Ángeles award, there must be a minimum of 2 lied.
In the instrumental category to qualify far the Xavier Montsalvatge award, there must be a minimun of 1 piece from the composer.
In the instrumental category, to qualify far the Brotons i Mercadal award, there must be a minimun of 1 piece from Brotons i Mercadal publishing house.

In the event that the number of applicants exceeds the capacity to complete the first phase in person, candidates will be asked to submit a video recording. The video must be submitted without cuts, editing samples or digital alterations and with optimal audio and video quality and must be a recording made in the last 12 months. The organization may automatically reject any content whose reproduction is not viable or raises well-founded doubts. These recordings will be confidential and the organization will not disseminate them under any circumstances.

The date and the arder in which they will perform in the selection phase will be available far candidates from November 5, 2025 at ajuntament.barcelona.cat/lescorts and also at cimbarcelona.com

Those registered agree to take part in all the phases, and also in the concerts which they might be appointed to by the organising committee.

Finalists and winners will not be able to participate in the next competition in the same category.

The jury may interrupt the performances during the selection phase if appropriate. The jury’s decisions will be final, and the candidates will not communicate with its members. The jury reserves the right to declare the award null and void, and to selecta smaller number of finalists.

Registering in the competition means the acceptance of these rules. Any unforeseen matter will be decided on by common agreement reached by the organising committee.

The winners agree to mention this award in their Artistic CV.
